Do you feel hungry all the time? It’s frustrating, right? You try to eat clean, work out on a regular basis and take care of yourself, but uncomfortable and annoying hunger pangs seem to haunt you throughout the day. There are some common reasons why you might be feeling hungry all the time, and fortunately, they’re easy to fix! Let’s go over a few of these so you can stay on track, feel less hungry and reach your fitness goals:
- Not enough protein: Are you skimping on protein? Low-protein diets can cause hunger. Try to get a minimum of four to five servings a day to reap protein’s satiating benefits.
- Not enough fiber: Just like protein, fiber helps keep you fuller by stabilizing blood sugar and delaying the absorption of carbohydrates.
- Skipping meals: While some people can get away with eating only a few meals per day, you might benefit by adding small meals every two to three hours to keep hunger at bay.
- Too stressed or tired: When you’re stressed and tired, your body has trouble regulating hormones and can stimulate feelings of hunger. You also might experience serious cravings for food that can derail a healthy diet.
