Shiva has a passion for movement and well being. She obtained her Bachelors of Nursing degree from the University of British Columbia and her Masters in Education from the University of Washington. She has been working at Harbor Square Athletic Club since 2003.
She is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and a Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor. Her continuing education certifications include Kinesis training, Functional training, MVE Pilates, Barre, Zumba, Agility and jump rope training.
Shiva absolutely loves to train, educate and motivate her clients.
Her training sessions are fun, efficient and movement based, grounded in functional training. She incorporates strength training, flexibility and fluid movements into her workouts with special emphasis on her client’s individual needs and limitations.
She can train clients privately, semi privately or in small group sessions. She is a strong advocate for each of her client’s well being and fitness level. Shiva’s goal is to keep her clients motivated and challenged in a safe training environment.
She believes that they will work harder and stay motivated when they can enjoy themselves and see progress. Shiva loves to see people move in ways that they could not before.
