MEGAN WOOD

Megan has been working with Harbor Square members since 1987, and is the current Fitness Director. Her background lies primarily in sports conditioning, injury prevention and rehabilitation.

She worked with WSU sports teams throughout college, physical therapy clinics post

college, and with our local High Schools. She is a certified CPR instructor and trains all the employees at Harbor Square.

She is a strong believer in “move better, feel better, look better” at any ability level. Every workout should be fun, full of variety, and motivating.

RACHAEL CARBARY

Rachael enjoys helping her clients live a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle through exercise and better eating habits. She has been lifting weights since high school, and while playing volleyball at the collegiate level developed a true love for staying healthy.

A little more about Rachel…
She loves working with all types of people and has trained ages 10-84. Currently, she coaches volleyball at Northwest University in Kirkland. She makes it her mission to help her clients achieve the goals they set out for themselves and finds nothing more rewarding then helping a “Before” become an “After”.

LEVI DIGGS

Levi comes from an extensive sports background, spending 6 years running youth sports programs in Missoula, Montana. In high school, he played varsity soccer and continued sports in college at Pacific Lutheran University with 4 years of lacrosse. He also spent a year coaching lacrosse at Pacific Lutheran University.

A little more about Levi…
He believes that you will never regret a good workout; and is a big fan of functional fitness, sports conditioning and training for real life situations. His favorite quote is “If you don’t do it this year, you will be one year older when you do” Warren Miller. He would love to help you meet your goals, build self-esteem, and have a good time while you do it.

ruth lee trainer

RUTH LEE

While coaching soccer and basketball, Ruth became interested in injury rehabilitation and then progressed to preventative strengthening to build athletes increased success. After focusing on core strength, balance and flexibility, Ruth happily discovered increased power and enjoyment in her own golf game, and she now trains others who love to golf, play tennis, or ski.

A little more about Ruth…
The same training techniques (like Kinesis or TRX) can also effectively be used to improve functioning in daily life activities. Ruth has a special passion working with people new to exercise or those struggling to begin again. She trains clients in their teens to 90s, and employs a calm, encouraging and professional style to achieve maximum results.

PEGGY MCCARTNEY

Multifaceted as a Registered Nurse and Personal Trainer, Peggy looks forward to working with all age groups and ability levels. She enjoys empowering each client to new levels of fitness and self-esteem. She feels that everyone has the right and ability to better their health.

“I believe that supporting clients to learn new healthy habits is key to their success.” Peggy’s ultimate goal is to allow her clients to take charge of their own actions by creating positive experiences for measurable consequences toward their goals and accomplishments.

ROD WILCOX

Rod has been at Harbor Square Athletic Club since 1991. After graduating from the University of Western Australia with his Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology, Rod decided to pursue the hands on world of personal training.

A little more about Rod…
Rod had been coaching Track and Field at the high school and collegiate levels for years and loved the one on one connection, so personal training became a natural extension to his coaching.

Whether the goal is to win the State Championships or reverse the effects of adult onset diabetes, the mind-set for improvement is the same. Progress is fun and progress is addictive but progress only comes with focus and determination.

Rod earned two varsity letters from the University of Washington while he earned his degree. Since college, Rod has competed in 16 National Championships winning 8 National Titles and 8 second place finishes in a variety of events. Rod’s goal is to compete in the Decathlon at the age of 90.

CINDY WILLIAMSON

Cindy has been a certified personal trainer at Harbor Square Athletic Club for 20 years. She has watched many changes in the fitness industry over the years…yes some of them date back to leg warmers. Cindy has worked with youth sports programs including soccer and basketball.

She says “there is nothing better than to watch the transformation in a person once you get them moving. There is a physical and mental process that takes place and it is amazing to watch and to be a part of.”

KEVIN KLEYA

Kevin has been working in the health and fitness industry since 1995. Kevin’s training specialty is sports performance, specifically in developing the fundamental framework that makes up an athlete.

Kevin spent 2 1/2 years training under one of the world’s top speed and conditioning coaches where he utilized this opportunity to train professional, Olympic, collegiate, high school and middle school athletes including one World Record holder.

PATTY SMITH

Patty developed a passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle in her journey to shed those last few pounds of pregnancy weight, continuing on to become a competitive natural bodybuilder. Patty believes in the benefits of strength training and advocates and promotes natural bodybuilding and drug-free athletics.

She enjoys incorporating a wide variety of tools into her training programs, including the use of free weights and likes to show how they can be a great addition to any workout regimen, whether the goal is to gain muscle or lose weight. Her goal is to give her clients the tools and inspiration to achieve their fitness goals by training smarter.
